Prep your bathroom ready for winter
Winter is coming!
Make sure your bathroom and plumbing is ready this winter, here’s six ways to improve your bathroom ready to keep you toasty!
A Heating Power Flush
First suggestion is a heating power flush, which removes sludge from your radiators and central heating system.
A power flush is not that expensive and it could save costs on your bills, yet keeping you extra warm!
Boiler Service

Again, not that expensive and could save you money in the long run. Make sure you book in for your boiler to be serviced, you don’t want to be caught out this winter with a broken boiler!
At Innovation we can service boilers, but hurry as our team is booking up fast.
Insulated Pipework
Make sure all your pipework is insulated correctly. Especially if your system is an older version. It’s always good to insulate the pipes to protect them from freezing.
Windows Sealed
If you have an older house, it might be worth going around the windows in your bathroom with sealant. This will keep heat in and prevent any extra draft. You don’t want cold air draft when you’re getting out the bath! You can pick up sealant cheap from local trade stores and again, this could save you money on your energy bills.
Towel Rails
Upgrade or renew your towel rail, we have so many different styles and sizes we can supply for you in our showroom. It makes a huge difference having a good towel rail from giving the bathroom extra heat, to warming up those fluffy towels, ready for you jumping out of your shower! We have a variety of colours, so you don’t just have to stick to chrome. What about matte black or a nice charcoal grey?!
Underfloor Heating
Last, but not least underfloor heating. This is not expensive and can make a HUGE difference to the warmth in your bathroom. Imagine getting up in the cold mornings, and then coming into your bathroom feeling the warmth on your toes. In our showroom we have plenty of bays with underfloor heating, pop in and come and feel what it’s like… we definitely recommend!
We hope these tips help get your bathroom ready for the cold, you don’t need to suffer if you’re prepared! Please get in touch with us if you have any questions. Or pop into our showroom in Lyndhurst.
